Action Steps (Implementation Design)
How will you measure growth? Growth Factors (Baseline & Targets)
Empathy 1.B - Staff and Student Well Being
Shiloh High School creates a safe and welcoming environment that supports the wellbeing of both students and staff. We achieve this through social-emotional learning, Restorative Practices, and collaborative problem-solving, with a strong emphasis on physical and mental health and self-care.
Establish a Student Advisory Council that will meet with school leadership at least once a month to enhance student voice and engagement, ensuring that student perspectives are integrated into schoolwide decision-making processes.
Provide professional learning opportunities in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Restorative Practices for both staff and parents.
A Student Wellness Center will be created to support Restorative Practices and to improve healthy social and emotional practices amongst students and staff.
Each month, we will recognize and celebrate students and staff to ensure we are creating and maintaining a culture of positivity, support, and encouragement.
Create a Generals Exchange PBIS Store where students can purchase items using points earned through positive behavior. The items available for purchase will be selected based on student surveys. The store will open each month to reinforce behaviors that align with the vision of Shiloh High School.
Counselors have created an action plan to support attendance efforts aimed at reducing absenteeism. This plan includes strategies for monitoring attendance, engaging families, providing interventions for at-risk students, and promoting a positive school climate to encourage consistent attendance.
EES Student Wellbeing Survey:
Equity 2.A - Multi-tiered System of Supports
To address both academic and non-academic needs and ensure every student's success, Shiloh High School will implement a well-defined multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), using integrated data and instructional strategies to remove barriers and effectively reach each student.
Use Universal MAP Screener to identify students who would benefit from intervention and extension supports.
Utilize Generals Time to provide core content support, credit recovery, and course recovery.
Conduct informal observations during the month of August and provide focused feedback to support teachers before the formal observation process begins in September.
Prioritize increasing the graduation rate by implementing targeted interventions and providing academic support that includes ensuring students have access to transportation and other resources needed for success.
Establish a PBIS Team that will:
Monthly Feedback on Data Trends that impact student achievement, facilitating discussions on effective interventions and support initiatives to address behavioral challenges.
Implementation of a Rewards System that includes student and staff centered incentives.
Creation of a PBIS Store where students can redeem points earned by exhibiting positive behavior.
Opportunities for Student Engagement and Leadership Development that foster a positive school climate by promoting collaboration, building a sense of belonging, and empowering students to take ownership of their individual and collective excellence.
Opportunities for Staff Engagement and Professional Learning that fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility for establishing and maintaining a strong positive school culture. Develop a Crisis Response Team.
Generals Time will be utilized to support students with interventions, extension work, Credit Recovery and Course recovery.
Hold monthly Cohort Analysis meetings to address student achievement challenges in a timely manner, allowing for prompt interventions.
Establish a collaboration space that will accommodate an entire department, ensuring team members can effectively communicate, brainstorm, and work together in a supportive environment. This space will be equipped with necessary resources and technology to promote highly effective collaboration and enhance overall productivity.
Professional development for staff members and the Parent Liaison will focus on developing skills to better support student achievement. This initiative will empower staff to engage effectively with students and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment that produces strong, positive outcomes for both students and the Shiloh community.
