McConnell MS will provide additional opportunities to elevate student voice, ownership, and agency in the design of their school experience and be responsive to their requests.
We will utilize Advisement, Classroom Meetings, and Restorative Circles to support students' social and emotional needs.
Create or empower existing student councils to give students a platform to share their ideas and concerns.
Implement regular surveys, suggestion boxes, or forums where students can provide feedback on school policies and programs.
Involve students in decision-making processes, especially those that directly affect them.

McConnell MS will reduce variability and increase the fidelity of high-quality Tier I instruction implementation for all students, including data-driven small groups, grade-level curriculum, ongoing formative assessments, and progress monitoring.
Provide ongoing professional development to address higher-order questioning, data-driven small-group instruction, and sustained reciprocal conversations.
Continuation of a mastery learning cycle to ensure all students have access to re-teaching before re-assessment.

Collaborative Learning Teams Implementation & Development
Analyze and disaggregate data to determine the next steps for planning and instruction (utilize collaborative learning team self-assessment rubric)
Continue MTSS Implementation (utilize MTSS Air Rubric)
Utilize peer observations, classroom walkthroughs, and feedback (informal and formal) to enhance and monitor Tier 1instruction (GTES)
Leverage new teacher orientation (TAP), mentoring, and ongoing professional learning to support effective instructional strategies and proficient classroom management techniques for novice staff members.
Continue to encourage participation in the Coaching, ESOL, and Gifted Endorsement Program.
Reviewing i-Ready data at least twice a year to identify students for additional services, including gifted screening.
Decrease the percentage of students scoring in the Beginning or Developing range on Milestones Assessments: % Beginning +Development on GMAS/EOC (2025-2026).

Expanded GiftedSearch/Portfolios to qualify more students
Expanded offerings in connections: computer science, AgStem, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Theater Arts, Music Technology, JLC, and Family and Consumer Science.
Provide PBIS incentives and assemblies for students who exhibit the T.I.G.E.R. attributes (Trust, Integrity, Growth, Effort, and Respect)
